Why your answers don't match: the two puzzle versions
The same level number can hold two different puzzles. Here's how to find yours.
If the answers for your level don't match what's on your screen, you probably aren't looking at the wrong level. Words of Wonders: Hexa ships two different puzzles for most level numbers.
What's going on
For each language the game contains two complete level sets. The app places each player in a group, and that group decides which set you play. The landmark and country stay the same in both. The letters, answers and bonus words are different.
In English, 4,904 of the 4,914 levels differ between the two sets. For example, level 50 is AREA, REAR, CARE… in one version and STANCE, SCENT, CENTS… in the other.
How to tell which version you have
- Open your level page.
- Look at the Version 1 and Version 2 tabs. Each tab lists that puzzle's letters in alphabetical order.
- Pick the tab whose letters match your tiles. The honeycomb drawing inside should look exactly like your screen.
Your version usually stays the same from level to level, so once you know which one you have, you can keep using that tab.
Searching by words
Find my level searches both versions at once and tells you which one matched. Type two or three words you've already found, or the letters on your tiles.
Other languages
Spanish, Russian and Turkish work the same way, each with its own pair of puzzle sets: Español, Русский, Türkçe.
